Starting
at the edge of the pre-mask, slowly peel away the pre-mask at a low angle so
as not to lift letters upward. If some pieces lift away from surface, gently
lay down pre-mask, rub vigorously, and peel again. Peel pre-mask completely
off. When finished there will be two pieces to throw away - scrap pre-mask and
backing sheet. Do not power wash for at least 72 hours.
Press
firmly on decal, putting most of the pressure on the vinyl pieces for about
one minute. Use the edge of a blunt instrument or your fingers for best results.
Carefully position decal
on surface. Once decal is placed, it will be very hard to move. To avoid this,
be sure positioning is correct before applying.
Lay
decal face down. Slowly peel off backing sheet (the thicker white piece).
Peel so you are actually bending the backing sheet and leaving the pre-mask
(thin, clearer material) flat. If letters stick to backing sheet, lay down,
rub vigorously, and peel again. Peel off backing sheet completely.
Before
applying decal make sure surface is clean of dirt and loose particles. Be
sure surface temperature is at least 68 degrees before applying. Cold climates
may necessitate storing vehicle inside overnight to achieve proper surface
temperature.
